Social Concern has its roots in and a strong on-going association with The Church of England. It is a fully independent charity and supports work that is inclusive of all Faiths, Non-Faith groups and Anglican Faith groups who share the basic humane values of compassion and solidarity..
Social Concern supports work in the fields of Addiction and Substance Misuse; Drugs and Alcohol and Criminal Justice, including Restorative Justice.
The charity Trustees are particularly keen to support innovative work in these areas; work that gives priority to young people at risk and pilot schemes that need initial seed funding to develop into fully-fledged projects.
NOTE
The charity’s historical objects are broadly and generously interpreted by the Trustees so that grant support may be offered to a wide range of projects in recognition of excellent work using several disciplines providing a number of different, inter-related services.
